The doubles project continues: concentration of mixed couples in the CAR of Madrid

The Federation staff, supported by the head of the national teams Ernesto García and Fran Casermeiro, work these days together with the coaches of the summoned athletes.

Spanish badminton continues to bet on the doubles project, an initiative whose objective is to bring out the full potential of national athletes to consolidate pairs at an international level. This week a further step is taken, with the specific concentration of mixed doubles that takes place at the High Performance Center in Madrid until next Wednesday.

The athletes from the CAR group in Madrid and ten ‘new faces’ participate in the concentration, since the absolute national champions and four junior couples who have their sights set on the European Championship of the category, which will be dispute since August 18 in Belgrade.

The staff of the Spanish Badminton Federation (FESBA) participate in the sessions, made up of the sports director Arturo Ruiz and the technicians Manu Vázquez and Carlos Rubio, with the support of the head of national teams Ernesto García and the director of Training and Development Fran Casermeiro. In addition, these days are also counting on the presence and contributions of the athletes’ coaches: José Antonio Crespo (Madrid), Dolores Marco (Valencian Community), Marc Cardona (Balearic Islands) and Rafa Vázquez (Galicia).
