The Clippers close the renewal of Ivica Zubac

The Los Angeles Clippers and Ivica Zubac have agreed to a contract extension for the next three seasons at a total of $33 million, agents Jeff Schwartz and Mike Lindeman have confirmed to the reporter from ESPN, Adrian Wojnarowski.

As a result of this renewal, the Los Angeles franchise has declined the team option for the 2022-23 campaign worth $7.5 million. Thus, this new agreement will come into force next season and will last until the 2024-25 academic year.

Zubac, 25, has established himself as the center starter for the Clippers, participating in a total of 76 games during the 2021-22 season. In them he averaged career highs in minutes (24.4), points (10.3), rebounds (8.5), assists (1.6) and blocks (1.0).

In this way, the Croatian international becomes the second Clippers player to sign a contract extension after the completion of the regular season after Robert Covington.
