Independiente beat Talleres de Córdoba at home tonight by 1-0, in a match on the second date of the Professional Football League, and settled among the leaders of the contest.
The only goal of the match, played in the Libertadores de América-Ricardo Bochini match and refereed by Fernando Rapallini, was scored by Lucas Romero 26 minutes into the opening stage.

With the victory, Eduardo Domínguez’s team reached four points and leads with Gimnasia (LP), Estudiantes (LP) and Newell’s. Talleres, who would have been left alone at the top if he won, has three.
Within an even first half, Independiente took advantage through opportunism and luck, although the result that best represented what happened on the field of play was a draw.
