Soccer. Laure Boulleau, the former French international, pushed the doors of Racing for 24 hours

Titi Omeyer, Matt Pokora and Liénard’s left foot

Laure Boulleau couldn’t leave Alsace without going through our confessional and answering our 100% local quiz.

You have to elect your club president, you vote Arsène Wenger or Marc Keller?

It’s hard your thing there (laughs)! I will say Marc Keller because he has more experience in this role than Arsène Wenger, who was more focused on the field.

Are you looking for a goalkeeper, do you recruit more Thierry Omeyer or Matz Sels?

I will answer Matz Salts. Well no, can I change? Finally, I choose Thierry Omeyer! Because Titi is my friend, but also because he won all the competitions that exist on Earth and it is therefore not possible not to choose him. I wanted to stay on football, at the start, but still, Omeyer, we are not doing better.

Are you looking for a defender, are you recruiting Habib Beye or Jonathan Clauss instead?

I know Habib will forgive me, so I can answer Jonathan Clauss. A great player.

Are you looking for a midfielder, Morgan Schneiderlin or Olivier Dacourt?

Olivier is very, very touchy, but don’t worry, that’s not why I chose him. It’s mainly because I really liked the footballer. Morgan is a great guy, but football-wise, I prefer Olivier Dacourt.

Are you looking for a singer to animate half-time at La Meinau, are you asking Claudio Capéo or Matt Pokora?

Ah ben Matt Pokora, because he would play at home in Strasbourg and he would fill the stadium ten times. That said, personally, I would listen more willingly to Claudio Capéo because it’s more my style of music. I’m very French chanson, a little nostalgic, so it suits me better. But if we want to put on a big show at La Meinau, we need Matt. Anyway, you have some great singers in Alsace!

Do you want to talk football, do you call Guy Roux or Gauthier Kuntzmann?

I choose Gauthier a hundred times! We form a great team at Canal, I love it. This is my ”young bible” of football. If I want to know who scored with the left foot in the final of the Coupe de France 1912, I ask him and he answers me in the second. He’s a machine and he’s the first one I sent a little photo of Strasbourg Cathedral to when I arrived. He is the biggest Racing Strasbourg fan that can exist (laughs).

And finally, do you prefer to win with Liénard or with style?

It goes a long way there (laughs)! Come on, I answer with Liénard because it’s a bit like Racing’s mascot. He has an amazing left foot. And then a Panenka in the Coupe de la Ligue final, I buy every day.
