Schalke: Change of sponsors – Schalke trembles about the start of jersey sales – Bundesliga

It will be a race against time!

From July 1, Schalke wants to bring its new jersey to the fans. The newcomer changes from Umbro (the contract will be terminated prematurely) to Adidas and 11teamsports, which together transfer about 3 million euros per season.

But which lettering is on the royal blue outfit is currently questionable…

Search for sponsors falters: Schalke is trembling about the start of jersey sales!

Background: Since Gazprom replacement Vivawest (about 4.5 million euros were agreed for the 2nd division until 2023) no longer wants to pay after the surprising rise, CEO Bernd Schröder (56) has to find a new jersey partner. The royal blue chest should be worth at least 8, if possible even 10 million euros and even more.

According to BILD information, the ambitious search has been sluggish so far, so that the cash-strapped club has turned on a marketing agency (receives around 7 to 15 percent commission).

Because the pressure is great, the nervousness is growing.

► In the best-case scenario, Schalke wants to make the future main sponsor clear quickly so that its logo can be seen on the new jerseys in time for July 1st.

► In the worst case, the newcomer has to start the season with Vivawest on his chest and later convert the entire collection.

Would be an emergency solution and a weak template to sell 30,000 of the 80,000 jerseys (seasonal calculation) directly. In view of a unit price of 90 euros, which industry experts expect, it’s about quick millions.

The transfers of the midfielders Tom Krauss (20/Leipzig/last loaned to Nuremberg) and Florent Mollet (30/Montpellier) should be almost fixed and will be finalized next week.
