The Ragusa State Police, as part of the activity that falls within the competence of the Quaestor – as the Provincial Public Security Authority -, in recent weeks, has implemented various preventive measures.
In detail, the following were notified:
six “Oral notices”, a “Mandatory travel document with prohibition of return”, a “provision for domestic violence”; in addition, a proposal was made for the application of the preventive measure of the Special Surveillance of the PS with Residence Obligation and a proposal to aggravate the preventive measure of the Special Surveillance of the PS, already applied – pursuant to Legislative Decree 159/2011 cd “Consolidated anti-mafia text” -.
In particular, as part of the activities aimed at preventing crimes against property and predatory crimes, a “return ban” provision was issued for three years in the municipalities of Pozzallo and Ispica, against a person already convicted, including ‘other, for crimes against property, which driving a car had fled, in order to escape a police check carried out in Ispica at the entrance to the Gela – Syracuse motorway, being reached and blocked after several kilometres. Subsequent checks ascertained that the car had been removed shortly before in the urban center of Pozzallo; on that occasion the man was arrested for aggravated theft and resistance to PP.UU.
In addition, a warning was issued for domestic violence thanks to the attention of the State Police who caught in time the indicators of acts of non-episodic violence in the family environment; the delicate investigation led the Chief of Police to issue the provision to protect the woman who is the victim of violent conduct by the former partner.
