Erling Haaland (21) will be chasing goals for Manchester City in the new season. The Premier League club officially announced the move on Monday.
Fans should initially be surprised at the legs-wide photo that shows Haaland in the city jersey on a couch. However, the explanation is simple – and a joy for all football romantics!
In a short video clip shared by the club on social media, a person can be seen holding a photo of young Erling Haaland in a Manchester City shirt towards the camera. Shortly thereafter, the image disappears from the lens and Haaland, now a full-fledged top scorer and one of the most sought-after stars in Europe, sits in the same pose on the couch – now as a Citizens professional!
“I was born in England and have been a City fan all my life. It’s a proud day for me and my family,” said the Norwegian in a first interview.
In Manchester he receives a five-year contract. The club paid 75 million euros for the services of the top scorer, who last played for BVB in the Bundesliga for two and a half years.
