Once the promotion to Primera has been certified, Girona is already working on planning the squad for next season. One of the objectives of the sports management is to repeat the transfers of Pol Lozano from Espanyol and Álex Baena from Villarreal. Both operations, however, will be complicated. In fact, this afternoon, the Vallès midfielder posted a letter of thanks to the club and the workers on social media. Lozano closes the message with a “I’ll carry you in my heart all my life. I’m sure our paths will cross again at some point.” At the end of the match in Tenerife, the Vallès native stated that his intention was to return to Espanyol after the transfer. It remains to be seen what happens as summer progresses.
