Óscar Cortés and the Western Tribune of Millionaires, punished by Dimayor – Colombian Soccer – Sports

The Disciplinary Commission of Dimayor applied punishments for the sports manager of Millonarios, Óscar Fernando Cortés, and for part of the western stand of the El Campín stadiumfor the events that occurred in Wednesday’s game against Junior, on the fourth date of the semifinal home runs.

Cortés was punished with an eight-game suspension and a fine of two million pesos for assaulting Walmer Pacheco.a Junior player, in the middle of the match, which ended in a goalless draw.

Referee Alexander Ospina’s report says: “At the end of the first half when the players were preparing to enter the locker room, the delegate of the Millonarios Team, Mr. Cortés Corredor Óscar, attacked the player of the Junior Team #21 Pachecho Walmer hitting him with his forearm on the head, said action was not noticed by any member of the arbitration team, for this reason no disciplinary action was taken. Also, the Commission punished with “two (2) dates of partial suspension of the square, Western Low North, Western Low South and Western Low Central stands“, for throwing objects at the end of the game.

The sanction is of immediate application, for which these stands will not have an audience in the match that Millonarios will play this Saturday against Atlético Nacional.

“After the match, there were throwing of objects (coins, plastic bottles with liquid inside) by fans of the Millonarios club from the Western Preferential Low South, Western Preferential Low Central and Western Preferential Low North stands towards the Junior FC club delegation. and towards the referees, one of these plastic bottles hit the head of the technical assistant of the Junior Juan Manuel López Sirotta, who had to be removed on a stretcher by the members of the Red Cross to the infirmary, ”says the commissioner’s report field.

“In order to get the Junior FC delegation and the referees of the commitment to the dressing rooms, the presence of the captain of the Millonarios club David Macalister Silva was needed to appease the fans along with the police presence that required shields for this work”, add the report.
