NHL: Colorado also wins 2nd home game
In the playoff finals of the Western Conference, Colorado made the best start in their own stadium. The Denver team also won the second game of the best-of-7 series thanks to a 4-0 win over the Edmonton Oilers. Avalanche reserve goaltender Pavel Francouz made 24 saves to lay the foundation for the win. Colorado forced the decision in the 2nd third with the first two goals within 15 seconds. The next two games in the series will take place in Edmonton. The team from Canada faces a difficult task. Colorado has won all five away games in this year’s playoffs so far.
NBA: Warriors start with home loss
The Golden State Warriors fell behind in the NBA playoff finals. The San Francisco team lost the opening game of the best-of-7 series against the Boston Celtics at home 108-120. After the Warriors had already led by 15 points, the Celtics managed to turn things around thanks to a 40:16 in the last quarter. Game 2 in the playoff final will take place again in San Francisco on Monday night.
