Murray took revenge against Tsitsipas, in Stuttgart

Andy Murray had a beautiful revenge against Stefanos Tistsipas. It is that the Greek prevailed in the last United States Open in five sets.

But the British signed his best ranking victory since defeating Novak Djokovic at the 2016 ATP Finals. In the quarterfinals of the ATP 250 in Stuttgart he won 7-6 (4) and 6-3.

From 68th place in the world ranking, he was better in the tiebreak than his opponent, and took advantage of the clean and jerk of confidence to get an early break in the second set that would end up giving him the victory.

In recent seasons, after his hip injury, Murray has alternated between good and bad results. Nevertheless, keep fighting to improve: “For me, the last four or five years have been very different, playing Challenger tournaments because I’m not ranked as high. I play because I still love tennis and believe that I can compete at the highest level. I know that I have not shown consistency in recent years. I’ve beaten some of the best in the world since I’ve been back, but not consistently. I hope to be able to do it again soon.”
