On Sunday, June 12, the XIX edition of the children’s tournament of judo CITY OF BARBASTRO in which more than 250 schoolchildren participated. The meeting is part of the San Ramón festivities in which sport takes on a special role.
Participatory activity, in a format from which more than 100 medalists have emerged from all categories, in Spanish championships.
Boys and girls from practically all of Alto Aragón, between the ages of 4 and 12, have given their best.
More than 30 boys and girls from the clubs that belong to the Alto Aragon Judo Association, have done a magnificent job as referees, table officials and set-up. Without their selfless participation it would be impossible to organize this type of event.
The award ceremony was attended by Montse Buil, director of CEIP La Merced, María Cortés, head of studies at the CEIP Pedro l, in addition to the councilors Blanca Galindo and Pilar Abab accompanying the mayor of Barbastro, Fernando Torres.
The Barbastro Judo Cluborganizer of the event, thanks the support of Bodegas Aldahara, Jamones y Embutidos Julián Mairal and a secret patron for his generous contribution.
This competition is part of the circuit of competitions that are going to be held in our province, taking base judo events with great participation, to small towns in our regions.

The next appointment with judo in our province will be in Binéfar, next Saturday, June 25, organized by the local club led by Antonio Clager from Barbastro.
