Mito Pereira amazes the world and gets a spectacular albatross at The Memorial

Mito Pereira continues to dazzle the world with his category and his level in the PGA. The national golfer landed a wonderful albatross on the 7th hole of the final round of The Memorialin Ohio, a hit that caused a stir due to its complexity.

The Chilean’s success came on his second shot at a par five flag. That is to say, he deducted three impacts from the court and is momentarily approaching the top 20 of the contest, where Joaquín Niemann is in seventh place.

From 273 yards and in the company of former world number one Jon Rahm, the native of Pirque dispatched a unique play in recent years in the contest. In fact, the PGA highlighted it as the third albatross of the season and the first since 2019. It is also the second on that same hole since 1999, when Paraguayan Carlos Franco holed the ball in round two of that edition.
