The dad of Klay Thompson, 67 years old and 2 NBA champion titles with the Lakers in 1987 and 1988, knows a little about trash-talking. Yesterday he placed one for the Timberwolves, explaining that they too deserved their ring for their role in the Warriors title this year:

In 2009, Wolves let Stephen Curry pass (#7) to select Ricky Rubio (#5) et Jonny Flynn (#6). Two years later, they chose Derrick Williams in 2nd place. Thompson was drafted 11th by the Warriors.
Nothing says however that with Curry & Thompson, the Wolves would have become the Warriors that we know, since the framework and the capacity of a franchise to develop its players are at least as important as the talent to succeed in the league. . But good punchline Mychal.
