Mercato: West Ham optimistic to lock Areola transfer

After Marcin Bulka transferred definitively to the side of OGC Nice, PSG could soon record a second start among its many goalkeepers. Loaned this season to West Ham, Alphonse Areola is on track to extend his stay with the London club. The 29-year-old doorman had a great year with the Hammers, semi-finalists in the Europa League. Rightly underlined performances which push the resident of the Premier League to seriously consider the purchase option estimated at 12 million euros attached to the loan.

According to recent echoes from the Guardian, optimism is rising on the side of West Ham regarding the final transfer of Alphonse Areola. With Newcastle’s recent entry into the mix, David Moyes’ side feared losing their lead for a while. But right now a deal now seems ” at hand ” between the different parties, again according to the British daily.

In recent days, the substantial salary received by the PSG goalkeeper still seemed to be the anchor in the case. But with an aging Lukasz Fabianski, West Ham seem determined to secure the future in their cages by installing Alphonse Areola alongside his Polish counterpart.
