The Russian Daniil Medvedev, number one in the world and current champion of the ATP 250 Mallorca Championschips, will debut against the winner of the match between his compatriot Aslán Karátsev and the Spanish Jaume Munaraccording to the draw for the Balearic tournament table held this Saturday in which 28 tennis players participate.
The Greek Stéfanos Tsitsipas, sixth in the ATP ranking and second favorite, will play against the winner of the duel between the Finn Emil Ruusuvuori and the Belarusian Ilyá Ivashka. The order of the crosses has also determined that Medvedev and the Spaniard Pablo Carreño transit through the upper part of the draw, coinciding with the Australian Nick Kyrgios, who will debut against the Serbian Laslo Djere.
The also Spanish and fifth seed, Roberto Bautista, will face an opponent from the previous phase in his debut, while Feliciano López will meet the Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor. Third-seeded Canadian Denis Shapovalov awaits the winner of the match between Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi and a player from qualifying.
Carreño, fourth seeded, will face the Argentine Federico Delbonis or another tennis player from the previous phase. Medvedev, Tsitsipas, Shapovalov and Carreño are exempt from the first round due to their status as top four seeded teams and expect a rival in the round of 16.
