The Houston Rockets have finalized a trade to send intern Christian Wood to the Dallas Mavericks, The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported.
The Mavericks will send Boban Marjanovic, Sterling Brown, Trey Burke, Marquese Chriss and the 26th pick in the upcoming draft to the Rockets for Wood.
The 26-year-old averaged 17.9 points, 10.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists and one block in 68 games with the Rockets last season and will now be one of Luka Doncic’s main offensive partners.
The Rockets were looking to move Wood to open up playing time for promising 19-year-old center Alperen Sengun, multiple reports said.
