Nice operation for the bank account of Mason Plumlee. The Hornets interior contract has indeed just been fully guaranteed since the Charlotte franchise did not cut it two days ago. He will thus receive 9.1 million dollars next season while only half of the sum was guaranteed so far.
To see if this choice means that Charlotte intends to entrust him, for the second year in a row, with the position of pivot holder. Or if he is moving more towards a “back-up” role.
After a unique season in Michigan, his best statistically (10 points and 9 rebounds on average), the former Nets, Blazers or Nuggets player had been transferred to Charlotte. Much less involved offensively alongside LaMelo Ball, he still brought his presence on the rebound despite a low playing time.
Mason Plumlee’s contract became fully guaranteed yesterday with Charlotte with a $9.1M cap hit for 2022-23.
