Mannheim gets air / Bonn wins against Dohren

On Sunday there were five matches in the first baseball league on the program. In the north, the Bonn Capitals returned to everyday Bundesliga life after the European Champions Cup with 17-2 and 4-1 victories against the Dohren Wild Farmers. In game one, the Caps made runs in five of the first six innings. In game two, the Wild Farmers had two more hits than Bonn with eight hits, but only managed to get one run on the scoreboard. While the Capitals are still superior in first place, Dohren could not score in the play-off fight.
The leader of the table is also clearly ahead in the south. The Guggenberger Legionnaires Regensburg made the next sweep perfect on Sunday with an 11:1 against the IT sure Falcons Ulm. Regensburg had already triumphed 16:5 on Saturday evening. Further down the table, the Mannheim Tornados were able to gain some breathing room. The whirlwinds won against the Tübingen Hawks 16:7 and 14:9. The gap to the top remains large, but at least the ambitious tornadoes are now back in sixth place.
