Rights holder ZDF had refrained from broadcasting from Budapest. The World Cup in Hungary was only scheduled at short notice. In addition, the finals in Berlin are taking place this weekend, with a large amount of staff from the television stations. Another reason for the waiver is the scheduling of many other major international sporting events this year.
Those interested in swimming were not able to watch the World Championship silver races of Lukas Märtens (400 meters freestyle), Anna Elendt (100 meters breaststroke) and Florian Wellbrock (800 meters freestyle) live on TV, nor the other finals, some of which were very good German placements. The races can only be followed via a streaming provider on the Internet.
