Long balls weren’t enough for Coaticook’s Big Bill against the Blue Sox

BASEBALL. Gabriel Fromental Houle and Xavier Langlois hit the long ball for the Big Bill, but the Blue Sox held on to win the game scoring in the bottom of 7e round, Sunday (June 12), on the single of William Gault raising the crowd in Thetford Mines which remains undefeated this season. The two teams exchanged the lead 5 times.

Michel Simard pitched 6 innings allowing 2 earned runs and striking out 6 batters. Francis Michel came to end the meeting for the locals reaping the victory. Alexandre Pharand pitched the entire game for the Big Bill in the loss.

The Big Bill (3-4) hosts the Drummondville Brock (0-7) Saturday night (June 18) in Coaticook.
