LIV or PGA Tour? Shane Lowry has made his choice

Close to the Poulter–Westwood clan, 2019 The Open at Portrush winner Shane Lowry isn’t ready to join them on LIV Golf and he has explained why.

Brooks Koepka called the talks “dark cloud over the US Opento express his displeasure at having to answer questions about the earthquake caused by the arrival of the LIV Golf Invitational Series financed by Saudi Arabia with hundreds of millions of dollars.

Collin Morikawa and others also admit to being tired of all these debates.

Do they intend to go there? What do they think of the players who have opted for these lucrative events? Are they seduced by the format? And the inheritance in all this?

What Charl (Schwartzel) won this weekend, good for him, but I’d rather win the tournament than Rory won (Canadian Open)

Among them is also the Irish Shane Lowry who entrusts “It’s all everyone talks about, no matter where you go, no matter where you are on the course. It’s nice to come back to your hotel and not have to talk about it anymore. »

If the winner of The Open in 2019 would like to stop having to answer these questions his position is clear, unlike that of Brooks Koepka who was evasive. Lowry has no intention of giving up the PGA Tour avant l’US Open.

“I’ve been blessed to give my family a life I never thought possible by playing golf. I’m happy with what I have on the PGA Tour. Then QWho knows who will be the next player to leave? I just know it won’t be me.” he declares.

“That’s what I’m thinking. What Charl (Schwartzel) won this weekend, good for him, but I’d rather win the tournament than Rory won (RBC Canadian Open). When you win this tournament, you don’t look at the check but rather at the trophy with all these names written on it. This is golf. »

That’s sport, one would be tempted to add.
