Saturday took place the championship of France 2nd and 3rd division seniors, in Paris. The three qualified Amiens were not very successful.
Qualified for the French 2nd division championship thanks to the regional championship which they had both finished as vice-champions of Hauts-de-France, Lou-Anne Hubault et Thomas Ferreira traveled to Paris to try to win a medal. But it was not easy. Lou-Anne Hubault, in -57 kg, lost her first fight and could not be fished out. Thomas Ferreira, in -66 kg, won his first fight. Bowing then, he went to the repechage and was defeated just before the 7th place.
Thibault Dambrine in -73 kg, he, 5th in the regional championship in Amiens on April 30 had qualified for the French 3rd division championship. He won his first fight before also losing in the repechage, close to the top 7 in the final standings.
The objective for the three judokas to obtain a podium to move up to the higher division has therefore been postponed for next season.
