Also Vincenzo Lo Zito was in Austria: not as a coach (a role he also plays), but as international referee. “From my competitive career I moved on to that of a coach and then a referee. To become a referee you have to be one black judo belt: after which you take a course where, after lessons and internships, you take a final exam where you qualify for a career as a referee. So you start exercising first at the level regional and then at a higher level, that is national. After that, if you are lucky, like I was, you start your career international. I thank our regional representative, Maestro Innamorati, who proposed me internationally and from there I started traveling outside Italy: first Malta, then Spain and Austria. There will still be some international competitions before the end of the competitive year. They are at a very high level, unforgettable experiences “.

With the arrival of summer we are approaching the closing of the competitive season for judo – or better, judò ithe explains Silverio Spurior – but the activities do not stop and will not stop: the mountain for breath, then running and training.
“Gran Sasso, Maiella, Sirente block – Velino: now I’m at home in these mountains” jokes Silverio. “The mountains are essential for developing the aerobic part of the training, with oxygenation and strengthening of endurance, but the gym is too: there we take care of the technical aspect more and do finishing touches. During this period, some young people also decide to take the exams for the black belt: they are very selective exams, no one is favored “.
