Jonas in the top ten of Indonesia’s “Grand Prix”

Latvian athlete Pauls Jonas won the seventh place in the 12th stage of the championship on Sunday – in the Indonesian Grand Prix. On Saturday, Jonas, who represents the Husqvarna plant team this season, finished in eighth position, while Slovenian Tim Gayser was the best. In the first race, the Latvian athlete finished in seventh place.

Jonas was in fifth place at the start of the second race, but fell in the fifth lap, losing two places and continuing from seventh. The Latvian athlete was separated from the sixth place for three seconds, but he did not manage to climb higher until the finish.

The fastest in the second race was Guyers, who was also the best in the first race. Slightly more than three seconds behind, the Spanish Jorge Prado took second place, while the top three was completed by French athlete Roman Fever, who missed the first half of the season. Jonas gave in to the winner in 32.6 seconds.

Gayser won the stage with 50 points. Prado was second with 44 points, while Rubens Fernandes from Spain was third with 38 points. 28 points gave Jonas seventh place. In the Indonesian stage, 20 athletes started in the MXGP class.

In the overall standings after 12 stages, Guy is convincing leader with 535 points, Prado is 410 points, and Jeremy Siever from Switzerland has accumulated 405 points. Jonas reached 278 points and climbed to seventh position. There are 20 stages in the World Championship this season.
