Johan Carbonero, to Racing: all the details of a millionaire pass

Racing will put about four million to keep 75% of the Colombian Gymnastics and on Tuesday the medical review will be done. It will be the third incorporation of the Academy.

Although the most important thing is missing, which is the signature, Racing already has everything agreed for Johan Carbonero to become the third reinforcement of the Avellaneda team in this transfer market after the arrivals of Emiliano Vecchio and Maximiliano Romero.

For the moment, Carbonero will continue training in Gymnastics but will not be present on Monday when Lobo, precisely, faces Racing for the fourth date of the Professional League. Next Tuesday, the Colombian striker will undergo a medical check-up and then sign his contract with the Academy for more than three seasons.

Carbonero, from Racing to Gimnasia and with Once Caldas in the middle of the negotiation

Gymnastics had the option to buy 70% of Carbonero’s pass from Once Caldas for about 1.5 million dollars, but they never managed to pay off the debt and only paid 700 thousand dollars after the deadline.

On June 7, Gymnastics lost a percentage of Carbonero for not being able to afford the payment and in the first days of July he will lose everything he had left. For this reason, Racing negotiated directly with Once Caldaswhich by way of compensation will pay an amount of the operation to the Wolf.

Controversy over Carbonero’s arrival at Racing

Carbonero has a pending legal case, and is prosecuted for the crimes of harassment and attempted sexual abuse, after a complaint made by a woman who worked at the hotel where the player was staying as soon as he arrived in Argentina to play in Gymnastics . A few days ago it was known that he will go to trial on this issue. From the club’s legal department they studied the file and it was unanimously concluded that his legal situation is not an impediment to hiring him “since the principle of innocence governs,” according to members of the CD.

However, with an absolutely opposite look, Racing Feminista issued a statement in which it repudiated the chance of the footballer’s arrival: “We oppose the hiring of Johan Carbonero, as well as any professional who is prosecuted for gender violence” says the text.
