Peruvian Inés Castillo won the gold medal in women’s badminton by beating Colombian María Pérez in the final at the Bolivarian Games in Valledupar.
In the women’s individual badminton category, Castillo won the gold medal after beating Pérez 2-0 sets in the final, with partials of 21-11 and 21-19.
Peru adds its twelfth gold medal in these Bolivarian Games and second in badminton, as it was also won in the mixed team category, where Inés Castillo was also present.
