Indonesian men’s singles badminton athlete, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting (Anthony Ginting), greets the audience at Istora Senayan, Jakarta on June 17, 2022.

BOLASPORT.COM – Indonesia failed to win a title in the Indonesia Open 2022 tournament which ended on Sunday (19/6/2022).

Even so, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting became the Indonesian representative who received the most prize money from his participation in the 2022 Indonesia Open which was held 12-19 June at Istora Senayan, Jakarta.

Anthony Sinisuka Ginting reached the quarter-finals of the Indonesia Open 2022. However, he had to admit the superiority of Viktor Axelsen (Denmark), 13-21, 21-19, 9-21.

Anthony did lose. However, he could at least steal one game from Axelsen.

This record is impressive because since the last five meetings, Anthony has always lost in straight games, aka two games directly in the hands of the world number one men’s singles.

In addition, Anthony also managed to break the record or extraordinary achievement of Viktor Axelsen, who has never lost a game since competing at the Indonesia Masters 2022.

Anthony’s defeat from Axelsen further extended a bad record in meetings on the field.

The Tokyo 2020 Olympic bronze winner has always lost to Axelsen in the last six meetings in all competitions.

The last time Anthony was able to beat Axelsen was in the semifinals of the Indonesia Masters 2020.
