Sanse and Real Unión will have to do more kilometers than desired to compete next season in the First RFEF. The clubs that make up the category have voted on the composition of the groups and the result leaves the two teams from Gipuzkoa paired with teams from Biscay, La Rioja, Catalonia and Valencia, as well as Real Murcia, Numancia de Soria, Osasuna B and Atlético Baleares.

The new configuration, which is still provisional pending the definitive registration of each of the teams in the category, radically changes the panorama for Sanse and Real Unión since, in addition to the evident increase in distances, it is unquestionable that the new group also increases the difficulty due to the presence of the always thriving Catalan and Valencian teams.

This is how the group is

  • Basque Country:
Sanse, Real Union, Athletic B and Amorebieta.

  • Catalonia:
Sabadell, Barcelona B, Nàstic de Tarragona and Cornellà.

  • Valencian Community:
Castellón, Eldense, Alcoyano, Intercity and La Nucía.

  • The Rioja:
UD Logroñés, SD Logroñés and Calahorra.

  • Navarra:
    Health B.

  • Region of Murcia:
    Royal Murcia.

  • Castile and Leon:
    Numantia.

  • Balearics:
    Atletico Baleares.

It so happens that the two Gipuzkoan teams have not coincided with the Catalan teams since the 2001/2002 campaign and the memory is not exactly positive. That year in Second B Real Unión, Sanse, Eibar B and Beasain competed and all except the irundarras ended up losing the category, with the unionists being sixth.

In 2012/13, Lleida was included with Real Unión and Sanse, but it was a request from the Catalan team that was accepted by the Second B Club Commission.
