FC Bayern: Two new representatives away – Früchtl to Vienna, Hoffmann to Braunschweig! – Bundesliga

Now the two goalkeeper changes are fixed!

FC Bayern announced on Wednesday afternoon: Christian Früchtl (22) and Ron-Thorben Hoffmann (23) are leaving the record champions. Both keepers actually had a contract until 2023.

According to BILD information, the Bayern bosses had a buyback option written into both contracts!

Früchtl goes to Austria Wien in the Ösi-Bundesliga!

The “mini-newcomer” was last number three and was used for nine minutes on the last day of the game in Wolfsburg – the first time for the pros. His farewell game after 118 youth appearances in Munich.

Früchtl came from the SpVgg Grün-Weiß Deggendorf youth team eight years ago, was loaned to Nuremberg for a year in 2020/21, became B junior champion in Munich, third division champion and was in the squad for four German championships and the treble 2020 professionals.

Sport Director Hasan Salihamidzic (45): “For Christian, the move to Austria Wien is the necessary next step in his career. It was his wish and we understand that. We also have a responsibility to enable him to develop this way.”

Hoffmann goes to the second division promoted Braunschweig!

The Rostock native came from RB Leipzig’s U17s in 2015. He celebrated the youth titles together with Früchtl and was also part of the Champions League victory in 2020. Last season he was loaned to Sunderland. After 127 youth appearances (no professional game) it’s over for Bayern.

Brazzo: “Ron-Thorben showed his great potential in 24 competitive games at AFC Sunderland last season. At Eintracht Braunschweig he will now consistently continue on his way. He wants match practice, we are convinced that he can be a strong support for Braunschweig in the second division. We wish both of them every success for their future.”

According to BILD information, Hoffmann is going to Braunschweig for around 300,000 euros (contract until 2024)!

Peter Vollmann (64/Managing Director Sport near Braunschweig): “In Thorben we were able to sign an ambitious and well-trained goalkeeper, with whom we have ensured the desired competitive situation in the goalkeeper position. With our goalkeeper constellation, we see ourselves very well positioned for the coming season.”

The second division climber had been looking for strong competition for regular keeper Jasmin Fejzic (36) for a long time. Hoffmann wants to be the new number 1!

The goalkeeper told BILD: “I want to establish myself as a regular goalkeeper in the second division next season. My big goal is to get promoted to the first Bundesliga.”

Bayern captain Manuel Neuer’s (36) substitute will remain in the coming season Sven Ulreich (33/extended to 2023 in May). The new number three will be with the German record champion junior keeper Johannes Schenk (19)!
