Bayern fans have to listen very carefully here!

In the BILD podcast “Bayern Insider”, BILD football boss Christian Falk (43) talks about the hottest topics relating to the record champions every week. News, backgrounds, guests and exciting impressions from behind the scenes – Friday is now an acoustic holiday for Bayern fans!

With his tough statements, Robert Lewandowski (33) is driving the separation from FC Bayern (“Can’t imagine further cooperation”). Now the “Bayern Insider” reveals: FC Bayern fears that Lewandowski will even ignite the next level of escalation – in which he resorts to legal means that no top star has dared to use before.

FIFA Paragraph 17 states that players can terminate their long-term contract after the age of 28. Lewandowski agent Pini Zahavi knows the clause.

Andy Webster set a precedent for a professional move from Heart of Midlothian to Wigan Athletic in 2006. If Lewandowski really uses the means, the striker would only have to compensate FC Bayern with the salary of his last year of the contract, estimated at 24 million euros.

That would be even less than FC Barcelona is currently offering. The Catalans are said to be ready to pay Bayern Munich a €32m transfer fee. The star striker is not even threatened with a suspension. However: With such an approach, Lewandowski would not only jeopardize his reputation, but also his chances in the next world footballer election.
