The million dollar poker around Sadio Mané (30) is picking up speed!
That happened quickly: According to BILD information, Bayern made a second offer for the Liverpool star (contract until 2023) on Tuesday. The English had recently rejected an initial offer of more than EUR 25 million (plus EUR 5.5 million in performance-related bonus payments).
Now the Munich team followed suit, offering 27.5 million euros for Mané. In addition, there were up to EUR 7.5 million in performance-related bonus payments, which are to be paid out in the event of a Champions League victory and winning the Ballon d’Or, among other things. But even that is not enough for the Reds.
BUT: Both sides are getting closer. The negotiations are becoming more and more concrete. Liverpool initially asked for around 50 million euros, now the club has already dropped to 45 million euros.
In the next few days, sports director Hasan Salihamidžić (45) wants to fly to Liverpool because of Mané to continue negotiations. CEO Oliver Kahn (52) should also be there.
The Mané deal has top priority for Bayern, so they will quickly follow suit. “Brazzo” is in constant contact with the new sports director of the Reds, Julian Ward (40), because of Mané.
The Senegalese also wants to go to Munich and has already submitted his change request to the club. Liverpool have assured Mané that they will not put any obstacles in his way. Trainer Jürgen Klopp (54) is said to have already agreed to the transfer in principle. At Bayern, Mané should get a three-year contract and rise to the top earners (salary over 20 million euros per season).
