Scheffler in good company

Scottie Scheffler failed to join Tiger Woods by winning the US Open with the world number 1 label. But he is in good company among the number 1 in the world to have finished in 2nd place at the American Open: Tiger Woods (2005, 2007), Brooks Koepka (2019) and therefore Scottie Scheffler (2022).

Disappointing in the 3rd round with his worst score (77) in Major, Collin Morikawa wanted to finish his tournament well. His card of 66 (-4) on Sunday allows him to enter the top 5 of the US Open and he is the only one to have finished in the top 5 in the last two editions!
