Ekaitz Molina is the second signing that Barakaldo has made in this summer market / BARAKALDO CF.

Third RFEF

The second incorporation of the manufacturers is a physical midfielder from Gernika, who has played in the Second RFEF

Barakaldo has started the transfer chapter this Thursday and has done it twice. The first to be announced was Unai Arieta, a 23-year-old striker from Vitoria. Not content with this, the manufacturing entity has opted to communicate the arrival of a second incorporation. This is Ekaitz Molina, a 31-year-old midfielder who arrives from Gernika. A footballer who will bring his experience and seniority to the midfield, in addition to a great physical display that makes him the so-called ‘box to box’: good defensive capacity and also reach the rival area.

Ekaitz Molina is a very seasoned footballer at this type of level. He has passed through Arenas, Iurretako, Leioa, Cultural de Durango, Amorebieta and Gernika. He has spent most of his career in the Tabira club, where he has played five seasons in the Third Division, being an important piece in the promotion to Second B. Already in the bronze category, he played 37 games and scored six goals. That is why, despite the decline of his team, Amorebieta decided to have his services. He played 47 games with the Blues in two seasons, scoring just one goal and being part of the historic promotion to the Second Division.

Last summer market, he signed for Gernika of the Second RFEF. However, a serious injury kept him in the dry dock for three months at the beginning of this past year. To make matters worse, during all that time, Urtzi Urcelai and Eneko Delgado have stood out as one of the best midfield duos in the category, which has meant that Abadiñarra has not had all the prominence that he would have wanted. He has played 15 games, four from the starting eleven and the rest from the bench. Molina is the fifth cash with which Barakaldo together with contracted footballers Altair, Urki and Borja Álvarez, as well as Unai Arieta.
