FC Twente hopes to strengthen itself this summer with Tijjani Reijnders. The club from Enschede has not yet given up hope of the arrival of the AZ midfielder.
According to club watcher Leon ten Voorde, FC Twente officially reported to AZ this week for the creative midfielder, who is in the picture in Enschede for the ’10 position’. “AZ does not want to talk about relinquishing Reijnders for the time being”, Ten Voorde says on the website of the Tubantia† Reijnders, who played in the FC Twente youth academy, still has a contract until mid-2025 in Alkmaar.
AZ still sees the Zwolle player as an important player for the selection, although Reijnders is not sure of a base place in Alkmaar. The 23-year-old midfielder wants to get more playing time next season. AZ has informed FC Twente that Reijnders is not allowed to leave at the moment, but the Tukkers are “still on the checkered line”, according to Ten Voorde. AZ is still stirring on the transfer market and a number of players may be allowed to leave later this transfer period.
