Kepez Municipality Sports Club, which made strong strides in basketball in the new season, appointed Deniz Olgun, who won the U-18 Junior Girls Turkey Championship trophy in Beşiktaş, as the head coach of women’s basketball teams. Having served as the infrastructure coach of Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray and national teams, Olgun had his first training session at Turgut Özal Sports Hall.
Goal, big achievements
Having pioneered the training of many athletes in his career, Olgun requires discipline to his players who want to become professional. Not seeing it enough for the actor to spare 2 hours out of 24 hours, Olgun says that it is necessary to focus for success.
Hakan Çatal, the head of the club, who watched the training, said that they will strengthen the Regional Women’s Basketball and BGL teams this season. Stating that the players also miss playing basketball, Çatal said, “Stay tuned, we aim for much greater success.”
