BVB Transfers: Scamacca, Ramos, Broja – check possible strikers for Dortmund | football news

Borussia Dortmund is not making any progress in finding a successor for Erling Haaland. Sky has found three interesting candidates in the European leagues.

Borussia Dortmund has recently been one of the busiest Bundesliga clubs on the transfer market. BVB has already signed six players for the coming season.

But one important position is still open. The black and yellow are still looking for a center forward to replace Erling Haaland.

“We are in the process of exploring alternatives, we have two or three very good ideas,” said managing director Hans-Joachim Watzke recently about the search for a striker. But these ideas are in danger of fizzled out.

Most recently, Dortmund had focused on Sebastien Haller from Ajax Amsterdam and Hugo Ekitike from Stade Reims. However, it is becoming apparent that both transfers will be difficult to realise. Haller’s negotiations are stalling and Ekitike has received a tempting offer from Newcastle United.

Kalajdzic in great demand

BVB has Sasa Kalajdzic from VfB Stuttgart on the list as another candidate. But even with the Austrians there is considerable competition from FC Bayern and clubs from England. In addition, VfB boss Alexander Wehrle Sky announced to want to fight Kalajdzic.

But there are also other attackers in the European leagues that Borussia could find more easily and cheaply.

Sky Sport looked around the market for BVB and found three other interesting strikers.

Gianluca Scamacca (US Sassuolo):

In terms of height, the 1.95 meter Scamacca can compete with Erling Haaland. But his goal quota in Serie A was also impressive last season. He hit the bull’s eye 16 times, making the 23-year-old the most dangerous Italian attacker in Serie A after Ciro Immobile.

Sky Transferexperte Marc Behrenbeck: “He is the top Italian talent, strong physique, strong in the air, strong finish, holds the ball well, lays down well. You should take a close look at him.”

Goncalo Ramos (Benfica Lisbon):

Ramos does not play in the front line at Benfica, but acts as a hanging tip behind Darwin Nunez. The 20-year-old is still a goal threat. He has scored 11 goals in 15 U21 internationals for Portugal

Marc Behrenbeck: “Great technique, strong passes. Moves a lot. Powerful, precise shot with the right, good header. Also a really good and, above all, young player.”

Armando Broja (FC Southampton):

The English-born Albanian hails from Chelsea youth and is currently on loan at Southampton FC.

With just six goals, the 20-year-old has not played an outstanding Premier League season. But if you analyze his skills, you will find that he meets exactly the requirements that BVB is looking for.

Marc Behrenbeck: “He tackles ten header duels per game and often looks for half-spaces. Strong in attack, good pace, great technique. He has a lot of talent, but hasn’t made the big breakthrough yet. A perfect player for the Bundesliga.”
