Bolivarian Games: llama arrived in Bogotá and headed for Valledupar

Bogota officially received this Thursday, June 16, the sports fire of the XIX Bolivarian Games which will have as its headquarters the city of Valledupar in the department of Cesar.

After its ignition on the Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino in Santa Martathe Bolivarian flame arrived at the facilities of the Ministry of Sport where the boxers Yeni Arias, Jose Manuel Fori and Yuberjen Martinez, The athlete Carlos Sanmartin and the skaters Jacobo Mantilla and Gabriela Rueda they made the respective relays in a tour that began in the El Salitre Sports Unit.

At the ceremony, a plaque was delivered to the Ministry of Sports and the Colombian Olympic Committee, by Baltazar Medina, president of ODEBO, in recognition of the unrestricted support for the holding of the event.

The stop in Bogotá will be the first of the tour that will continue in Chimichagua on June 17 and will arrive in Valledupar next Tuesday, June 21, to prepare for the opening ceremony at the Armando Maestre Pavajeau stadium.

The Bolivarian Games will have the participation of 11 countries, 3,264 athletes, of which 1,547 are women and 1,717 men. There will be 33 sports, 53 modalities and 400 medals will be awarded.
