Virtus remains alive and makes its game 5 with a score of 84-78 at the end of a pitched battle, bringing the final-Scudetto series to 3-2 for Milan: game 6 will be played on Saturday evening in Lombardy. With Shengelia on the field despite the fever – and decisive with five points in the sprint out of the total 15 – a Jaiteh with 17 points and 13 rebounds at dominate in the first half, to then leave room for the Georgian and Belinelli (11 points) in a sweaty and tense success. With patron Zanetti who cheers and growls at the end of the game: We won despite everything and everyone, despite the refereeing. time to say it and stop it with psychological subjection towards Milan and Messina. A burst, the real ones.

Bella Virtus, then Milan returns to the sound of free

The fifth act of the championship challenge starts with the super choreography of the Arena, with the words ‘Finch death do not part us part’ at full curve, tricolor bands and black and white flags to dictate the position of Virtus back to the wall: message received, because Segafredo – again with Belinelli in quintet and not Teodosic, like in race 4 – he starts with the right face. Fluid in attack and attentive in defense, with Jaiteh taking the lion’s share (9 points) in a first quarter in which Virtus finds all her baskets from the field – ten – from inside the area: the iron attacks well, rebounds are found when needed and benefits are exploited, with the net 25-12 bianconero at the end of the first quarter as a clear result of the first ten minutes as seen on the parquet. Milan for – as in game 4 – tries to turn the inertia with experience, dragged by a great offensive flash of Rodriguez: Scariolo has to manage problems with fouls – two Hackett, two in one amen Shengelia, shortly after also the third arrives to Weems on a double technical for skirmishes with Grant – and sees Milan return up to -4 with Hall’s triple. Virtus finds new oxygen by returning with construct under the basket from the usual Jaiteh (17 points and 9 rebounds in the middle) and by Shengelia, while Milan – in a quarter of nine Bianconeri fouls, with Olimpia not even going into the bonus, stopping at three – gains on a shower of free throws, 17 at half-time , and remains in contact until 42-37 of half dispute.

New extension Virus

From the long interval a newly convinced Virtus emerges, led by Hackett and able to finally attack the iron with the energy of Cordinier going up to +13 (54-41, Shengelia’s basket): another moment of tension that helps Olimpia – on the umpteenth foul whistled on the panda Melli, double technical for protests against Scariolo and Teodosic – and powerful break of the Messina team, with Hines and Grant entering the game producing an 11-3 that puts Armani back in contact (57- 54). From the shallows Virtus tries to go out with a basket literally invented by Pajola and with Belinelli’s triple, even silent, but Milan responds with Melli’s usual free throws and with Hines for 62-58 at the end of the third quarter, punishing a very confusing Scariolo quintet in attack. Quintet that Scariolo keeps and comes the punishment of Grant’s four game that a tie and a series of problematic remittances are also valid: Milan puts his nose ahead (62-64), then scrapes Shields – foot on foot by Belinelli falling back from a three-pointer, with subsequent technician for protests for the contact not whistled – and Segafredo tries to relaunch the sprint with Beli. Great battle between the indomitable Rodriguez and the returning Teodosic: Milan puts his nose forward with a dominant Hines, but Shengelia responds with five points that weigh like a boulder, especially the triple from the corner of 80-75. Hines to keep Milan in the wake, but Cordinier crushes the 82-77 and Shengelia goes to block the possible -3 of Shields (returned two minutes after the excavation): the same red and white number 31 pockets the free of -4 with 24 seconds from the end, but Belinelli closes the score from the line and 3-2, with Zanetti and Baraldi going to cheer under the curve.
