The participation rate for the second round of the legislative elections at 5 p.m., for metropolitan France, amounts to 38.11%, according to the Ministry of the Interior. At the same time, it was 39.42% in the first round, on June 12, but it was much lower in 2017, with 35.33% participation.
More than 11 points less than in 2012
As a reminder, at the same time, this figure was 46.42% in 2012 and 49.58% in 2007, and 46.83% in 2002.
Last Sunday, during the first round, abstention had finally reached 52.49% in France. A record in this area, exceeding the previous record, set in 2017, by one point.
