Recently, it has been clearly felt that Apple has increased its sporting commitment to Apple TV +. The most recent example is the transmission of “Friday Night Baseball” and other MLB content. Now a cooperation between Apple and Nike is known, which should provide more sporting content on Apple’s video streaming platform.

Apple and Nike are partnering for Apple Original content

Apple has inked a multi-year first-look feature deal to develop and produce sports films with Nike’s Waffle Iron Entertainment and Makeready. Noisy Deadline The companies will create films that “celebrate the power of sport and inspire the next generation of athletes.”

As part of the agreement, Apple will fund and distribute the films, and Nike’s Waffle Iron label will produce the content alongside Makeready. Makeready has Brad Weston and Collin Creighton producing the films, with Waffle Iron’s Justin Biskin.

Meanwhile, Apple TV+ looks at multiple sports content. In addition to the above Friday Night Baseball live games, Apple TV+ features Ted Lasso, They Call Me Magic, Greatness Code, The Long Game and more. In addition, Apple is currently working on a documentary about 7-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton.

Apple and Nike have a long-standing partnership. Both companies offered accessories for joggers back in the days of the iPod, and there is a special Nike edition of the Apple Watch. Incidentally, Apple CEO Tim Cook has been on the Nike board of directors since 2005.
