- Sports Clubs and Schools from Lanzarote and Fuerteventura disputed this weekend in the Municipal Pavilion of Antigua the VI Fuerteventura and Lanzarote Interisland Cup.
The City Council of Antigua from the Department of Sports governed by Fernando Estupiñán congratulates all the participants of the VI Interisland Badminton Cup in which they have competed this weekend, 67 athletes from the municipal sports schools of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, registered to the clubs Lanzarote Raqueta, Pajaritos Beaches of Tuineje and Tiguaneje.
The Municipal School of Badminton of Antigua was present with 11 racket and feather athletes, registered in the Tiguaneje Sports Club with Juan Aníbal Medina as representative.
The medals were delivered by those responsible for the organization of the Badminton Cup and Councilor Pedro M. Armas.
Congratulations to the participants in this Inter-island Cup that allows young people, fast and agile, to share experiences, levels and teams in this sport, badminton, open to the practice of all, regardless of age, recalls the mayor, Matías Pena Garcia.
