Alexander Zverev is working on his comeback – the German tennis star is aiming for rehabilitation soon

In a fraction of a second, his dream of a great triumph in Paris was shattered, and the Hamburg native’s ambitions suddenly seemed far away.

Only a few days later, Zverev reported back with a declaration of war. At the US Open (live on Eurosport from August 29) he wants to start again – and if possible reach for his first Grand Slam title. “If I play the US Open, it’s not for a round or two, but to win it. I’ll only come back when I’m in this form.”

In the meantime, Zverev has taken the first steps on this rocky path. “He trains all parts of his body that are healthy,” explained brother Mischa. Rehabilitation is scheduled to begin next week. “He’s in a positive mood. We joke about his stiff foot. He’s smiling and looking forward to coming back.”
