Iñigo Llopis has once again climbed to second place on the podium at the World Championships in adapted swimming that takes place in Funchal (Portugal) after finishing second in the 4X100-style relay – a mixed category with swimmers with different disabilities – thus achieving the third World Cup medal of his career.

Llopis and his teammates set the fastest time in the first qualifying heat of the morning (4:36.27), only being beaten by Australia in the second.

The final of the 4×100 meter medley relay did not disappoint, as there was a lot of emotion until the last moment. Llopis was the first to jump into the pool, doing a good underwater part to end up improving his time in the 100-meter backstroke with which he achieved silver (1:07.16).

Despite this good weather, the Spanish team remained in fourth position until Sarai Gascón broke the last relay to place herself in medal times, first to reach bronze and finally silver. Australia won gold (4:29.86), with Spain at 2.10 and the Netherlands at 4.93.
