A first for Bérubé GM

The Rimouski Shaker was not very opportunistic on Wednesday night, losing 3-0 in Trois-Pistoles against Bérubé GM, who thus signed their first victory this season.

The visitors hit just three hits against three opposing pitchers who also put seven other runners on the trails with four walks and three hits. The Shaker, who had only one batter struck out, hit the ball well, but the opposing defense got the job done.

The youngsters Antoine Boucher and Nicolas Thibault each hit a homer against the loser Martin Bossé who struck out eleven batters. Samuel Laforest drove in the other run with a single.

Thomas Morin, solid for four and two-thirds innings, was the winning pitcher. He was followed by Marc-Antoine Michaud and Tristan Michaud-Thériault (saved part) who shone in relief.

Thursday evening, Montmagny will play in Rivière-du-Loup. For its part, the Shaker will be the visitor to Témiscouata on Friday evening.
