2022 President’s Cup: Persija Jakarta Lost to Borneo FC, This is Thomas Doll’s Response: Okezone Bola

SAMARINDA – Persija Jakarta reaped negative results in the continuation of Group B of the 2022 Presidential Cup. The Kemayoran Tigers lost 1-2 to Borneo FC at the Segiri Stadium, Samarinda, Saturday 25 June 2022, evening WIB.

Persija coach, Thomas Doll, also commented on his team’s defeat. According to the German passport tactician, Persija and Borneo both had shortcomings in this match.

As is known, the Kemayoran Tigers scored more goals through Ilham Rio Fahmi’s sweet flick (22′). However, Borneo FC was able to make a comeback through goals from Stefano Lilipaly (45+2′) and Matheus Pato Antonio Souza Dos Santos (72′).

Meanwhile, Thomas Doll also revealed his team’s shortcomings. According to him, Persija often lose the ball. In addition, he also mentioned the unavailability of players who were called up to the Indonesian national team and new foreign players.

“We still lack a lot of players because foreign players haven’t arrived yet, the national team players haven’t arrived either,” said Thomas Doll.
