Which Belgian teams in Europe next season? All the verdicts are in!

The Brussels derby ended with the Union’s 0-2 victory over Anderlecht, who found themselves at ten following the red card of Amir Murillo (87th), as part of the 5th day of the Champions’ Playoffs. Thanks to Kaoru Mitoma (2nd) and Deniz Undav (50th), the Unionists (46 points) are guaranteed to finish second and participate in the preliminaries of the next Champions League. The Mauves, who took seven points out of fifteen, are definitely third (39 points).

Here are the five Belgian clubs that will be European next season:

– Brugge, Belgian champions, will participate in the group stage of the Champions League. He is guaranteed to earn 17 million euros.

– Union, second in the Champions Playoffs, will play the third and penultimate preliminary round of the Champions League. In the event of a setback in one of these two preliminary rounds, it will be sent back to the group stage of the Europa League.

– Anderlecht, third in the Champions Playoffs, has qualified for the third and penultimate preliminary round of the Conference League.

– Since Ghent finished top of the European Playoffs, Antwerp, fourth in the Champions Playoffs, is guaranteed to play in the second preliminary round of the Conference League.
