Where is Karamoko, who arrived in Charleroi this winter?

Since his arrival last winter, Ben Karamoko has never appeared on the score sheet. The transfer of the central defender legitimately raises questions.

It’s a paradox, but Ben Karamoko has played more times in his career against a Belgian club with the jersey of Saint-Étienne than that of Charleroi. We have to go back to September 29, 2016 to find his performance against Anderlecht in the Europa League.

That evening, the Franco-Ivorian, for his second European evening, held off Teodorczyk in a revamped team. At the last minute, the Greens snatched a draw thanks to Nolan Roux.

The Charleroi central defender did not know it yet, but he was playing his last European match that evening and came up against a Pro League opponent for the last time. Landed in Hainaut at the very end of the winter transfer window, the Parisian has not tasted a single minute in our competition so far.

Worse, Edward Still never called him in his selection while young people like Dalle Molle or Donate made their appearance intermittently. Only a handful of supporters were able to see the imposing body and powerful thighs of the player trained in Saint-Étienne during the few training sessions open to the public.
