The Untouchables Paderborn celebrated a 9-0 shutout in game one of their double header at the Cologne Cardinals on Saturday. Three runs in the fourth period put them in front. Five more in the eighth round made everything clear.

Mark Harrison and Florian Seidel laid the foundation for the shutout on the mound. They allowed just seven hits and three walks in nine innings combined and had six strikeouts each. Seidel received the win.

Luca Rammelmann offensively brought Paderborn into the lead with a 2-run home run. Linus Nixdorf added another run in the fourth inning with a sac fly. A sac fly by Finn Bergmann extended the lead to four points in the sixth round. Bjarne Reinhardt then had a 3-run double during the 5-run rally in period eight.

Samuel Gorsch was successful with the Cardinals with two hits. Florian Kawczynski conceded the loss after six innings.
