Two days of fun for the little ones in Piazza Roma with Modena Gioca Eventi in Modena

The press conference for the presentation of the 6th edition of ModenaGioca was held this morning. Present were the Councilor for Economic Policies Ludovica Carla Ferrari and the Councilor for the Historic Center of the Municipality of Modena Andrea Bosi, the President of Junto Andrea Pelleschi and the owner of Magicabula Ivan Gianasi. The initiative, organized by the Junto social promotion association and the famous Modenese toy shop Magicabula, after the years of stoppage caused by the pandemic, aims to involve families in an exceptional location by offering playful, educational and sports activities . For this edition ModenaGioca doubles! There will be two days dedicated to games, from the most classic to the most modern, Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 June, from 9 to 20, Piazza Roma will be invaded by the laughter of young and old who can have fun choosing the activities to participate in. All the initiatives present at ModenaGioca are free and for some of these we recommend registering on the site.

Saturday 4th June

At 10 am ModenaGioca kicks off with a real ribbon cutting that will mark the start of the games. Following will be the exhibition of the students of the Modena Judo Academy, a school where sporting activity is not just a game, but a real discipline for the formation of the character of young and old. From 10 am, thanks to Equilibra Danza Aerea, children aged 5 to 12 will be able to try their hand at a special acrobatic discipline inspired by circus practices. Fabrics and hoops will make your children fly and they will gain self-confidence, stimulating imagination and creativity.

From 10.30 am ModenaGioca will propose a truly original activity every 25 minutes, entitled Who wants to plant a wood? Thanks to the scientific researcher Riccardo Pansini and his collaboration with the University of Finance and Economics of Yunnan in China, children aged 9 and over will be able to participate in a real Public Good Game. The dedicated platform will distribute a predetermined number of points to each player, at the end of the game the winner will be the one who has cooperated best with the others and the group will gain the opportunity to plant a real tree in the Province of Modena. An adoption certificate will be issued and a contribution will be made to the reforestation program carried out by Simbiosi magazine, the first magazine that gives life to new forests. A new activity for ModenaGioca that allows the initiative to move towards carbon neutrality.

At the end of the day, from 5.30 pm, the classical and contemporary dance gala will be held with the students of the La Fenice Dance Center. The collaboration with the La Fenice Center is a collaboration that has been going on for several years and allows this event to have a strong link with the world of sport and dance in particular.

Domenic June 5th

From 9.30 the La Fenice Center will propose JustMOverLab – Let’s train in the family an hour of physical activity based on play and the interaction between parents and children (from 3 to 6 years old). From 10.45 JustMOverLab will instead be dedicated to parents with children aged 7 to 11. For both activities you can book by writing to [email protected] From 10, as for the previous day, children from 5 to 12 years old will be able to “dream flying” thanks to the staff of Equilibra Danza Aerea. In this case there is no need to book, the test area will be open to the public from 10 to 12 and from 16.30 to 18.30. By registering on www.modenagioca.it also on Sunday 5th June, you can participate in the 6 25-minute rounds of the Public Good Game Who wants to plant a wood? These are the times available: 10.30 – 11.30 – 12.30 and 17.00 – 18.00 – 19.00.

From 15.30 to 17.30 the appointment not to be missed is with the Orienteering activity in the city proposed by UISP Committee of Modena. The participants, divided into a maximum of 50 teams, will move on foot along the route to reach the various points of the city. At each stage a photo must be sent to testify the arrival at the requested point. The place of departure and arrival will be Piazza Roma. Families with children aged 3 and over can register by sending an email to [email protected] Thanks to the collaboration with Acetaia Malpighi, each team will receive a prestigious award: a Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PGI dressing. “We are happy to support this happy initiative for the city of Modena, which focuses on children and our territoriality.
